The Arc "Alchemist" GPUs meet the DirectX 12 Ultimate feature-set, and its ray tracing engine supports DXR 1.0, DXR 1.1, and Vulkan RT APIs. In theory, this would make Intel's ray tracing tech superior to that of AMD RDNA2, because while the AMD chips have raster performance parity, their ray tracing performance do not tend to be at par with NVIDIA parts at a price-segment level. In the article, Intel posted ray tracing performance numbers that put it at-par with, or faster than the RTX 3060, which which it has traditional raster performance parity. Intel on Thursday posted an article that dives deep into the ray tracing architecture of its Arc "Alchemist" GPUs, which are particularly relevant with performance-segment parts such as the Arc A770, which competes with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. That's 100 to 400 seconds of a black screen, or no display signal, enough to unnerve anyone and assume something is DOA. The least optimal config, four dual-rank modules in a 2DPC configuration, takes a whopping 400 seconds (almost 7 minutes) to train. Two 32 GB modules (typically a pair of dual-rank modules in 1DPC configuration) take 200 seconds, as do four 16 GB modules (four single-rank modules in a 2DPC configuration). The table says that a typical setup with two 16 GB modules (read: two single-rank modules in a 1 DIMM per channel/1DPC configuration), takes 100 seconds to train (or until first boot). The sticker has some info on the ideal DIMM slot selection for dual-channel memory (4x sub-channels) but what catches our eye is a table which states just how long the motherboard will take to train the memory the first time it's booted up, or after a clear-CMOS operation (where your BIOS settings are erased). We tested the Black and Blue PS4 model, but we expect the White model to perform similarly. Both versions of the White model have silver accents. With the PS4 variant, the Black model has blue accents, and with the Xbox One variant, the Black model has green accents. The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 come in two different color variants: Black and White. Unfortunately, we haven't tested the Xbox variant and don't know how else it differs from our PlayStation model in terms of performance.
Update : A user has reported several differences in physical hardware between the PlayStation variant and the Xbox variant.
